| Using Show-Tell & WOW! kiosk
software, electronic slideshows can be created (by the kiosk master) and easily played by
kiosk users. Show-Tell & WOW!'s powerful directory and lookup structure make it
possible to organize and access hundreds of slideshows. Show-Tell
& WOW! was designed to use digital photos from digital cameras. Show-Tell &
WOW! works especially well with digital cameras that save images to standard 3.5"
floppy disks. Show-Tell & WOW! works with common PC equipment and can
be fitted with a variety of "input" devices: Touchscreen, Mouse, Trackball
and Numeric Keypad (to allow for slideshow selection/play via keypad entry of the slideshow
number). |

Features |
| Show-Tell & WOW! was designed
for fast and easy slideshow creation and modification. Simply snap some digital
pictures (preferably using a digital camera that saves images on floppy disks), insert the
disk into the computer, click a couple buttons within Show-Tell & WOW! (name the
slideshow and pick the category/section you would like to place it in), add optional
verbal messages/music for the slides and that’s it! Show-Tell & WOW! is
especially suited for large-scale kiosks which may contain hundreds or thousands of
slideshows. Benefits from using Show-Tell & WOW! include minimal time
spent creating and updating slideshows, capacity for a large quantity
(hundreds/thousands) of slideshows, multiple input device options (for
slideshow selection and play by kiosk users), generic architecture
(Show-Tell & WOW! constructed using Microsoft Access) and personal attention
(as sole designer and distributor of Show-Tell & WOW!, Embassy Software is not
hindered by a complex corporate structure and policies). The Show-Tell & WOW!
"watchword" is practicality. The consumer is cautioned against fancy kiosk
screens that look impressive. Such screens require significant design and layout
effort. With Show-Tell & WOW!, simply snap the images (using a digital camera)
for use in your kiosk, and load them in. As Show-Tell & WOW! does allow you to
use any jpg image, custom screens can be created and used with Show-Tell & WOW!,
though kiosk masters dealing with a large volume of slideshows will find that the
practical approach is to rely on the the photos from the digital camera (and not on time
consuming embellishments). |

| Obsolescence
considerations |
| Albeit, full video clips might be
desirable in some kiosks, picture/sound slideshows represent a practical balance between
plain text and full video. At this point, video is not readily editable, and
requires much more space than picture/sound files. Embassy Software has learned from
experience that simply building picture and sound slideshows can be challenging enough,
let alone trying to create, direct and produce video clips! For electronic catalogs
and information kiosks where picture and sound slideshows are desired, Show-Tell &
WOW! delivers a powerful slideshow lookup, play, creation and management facility. |
