     Hello, my name is Kristin.  I’ve used a spreadsheet system for about 9 years to manage order and income data for a sales representative company.   We represent 30 manufacturers and sell to over 700 stores in six states.  As our business grew over the years, it became obvious that the spreadsheet system was limited in terms of capacity, efficiency and ease of use.  When I found that Embassy Software could help in converting to a database, I was thrilled.  My long-held resistance to converting to a database was replaced with eager anticipation.

     Our initial meetings with Embassy Software included a significant amount of no obligation data modeling which clarified the table structures and relationships.  The table designs that resulted from group data modeling meetings served as a solid foundation upon which the system was built.  With our new database in place, we look forward to easily accommodating future growth in our business.

     The new system affords us a high degree of organization and gives us the flexibility to readily generate management reports needed to operate efficiently.  Less time spent entering orders and income gives me more time to manage the business effectively.  Sales and income reports can now be generated quickly, with the potential to easily develop new reports as needed.  Comparing current sales with prior years is now a snap!
